A new Brainfood.com

If you are reading this then you will notice that we have a brand new presence for Brainfood.com. In addition to a great new look and feel we have a lot of exciting new technology involved.

The new site sits on Apache Open for Business and the integration is not just superficial. We have e-commerce features and they are pretty simplistic but we definitely don't stop there. When new business leads register in the contact form they go into the OFBiz sales force automation workflow. OFBiz parties and roles define the permissions for editing content throughout the site.

AJAX is used heavily througout the new site and draws on Google's GWT libraries for history management. We're working a lot with GWT and OFBiz and we are going to have more and more exciting things to show as we integrate the two systems.

You might also notice that we have the beginnings of social networking integrated. You will see my twitter activity here as well as my blogs and we will be working to integrate other online resources in the near future. Some of these exciting new features are detailed in our new screencasts.

I know I'm excited about "eating our dogfood" and we have every intent of taking OFBiz in exciting and ultra-modern directions. Stay tuned and we'll keep serving it up!
