Biography

Jon began his journey in Arlington, Texas, in the heart of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, home of Six Flags Over Tejas, the Texas Rangers and now, Jerryworld. Jon felt it was only prudent to stay with his family for a few years, following Dad through his Air Force tour and a career change ... a foreshadowing as it turned out.

Jon started his post-secondary ventures at the University of Houston. When he finished, he found he had accumulated a B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, and a Ph.D in Engineering Design Theory. He had also accumulated some debt and a wife, so it was off to join the working world. Specifically, Jon moved to Cleveland, Ohio (not recommended) to work for BFGoodrich, solving problems in structural optimization, computer-aided design and manufacturing, decision theory, process control and AI/neural networks.

Changes to family requied a move back to the Metroplex, and after casting about, Jon switched to the wild and wooly world of Human Resources. But it was really the same discipline ... leveraging systems to solve problems.

Jon is very pleased to be joining the Brainfood team.

Jon's Recent Experience:

Senior systems manager with experience in developing, re-engineering and managing systems, processes and data. Excellent planning, facilitating, analysis, and innovation skills. Particularly adept at applying systems thinking to improving complex processes. Extensive experience in HR processes, including merit and variable compensation processes, global data privacy issues, vendor feeds, system integration, process automation, reporting, data analysis, and training of staff.
